3.answer to part 3 :

4.Write the materials and steps based on the goal/title “How to Make Fuel Cars to be More Eco-
Friendly”.
Answer:
To make cars with fuel more environmentally friendly, there are several steps that can be taken,
including:
1. Drive safely : Did you know that driving aggressively wastes fuel? Slowing down the gas
and brake pedals is usually the most effective way to reduce your vehicle’s GHG
emissions. Eliminating speeding, quick acceleration and braking can lower your fuel
usage by about 15% to 30% at highway speeds. Driving safely also helps lower your auto
insurance rates.

2. Obey the speed limit: Once you reach speeds of 50 miles per hour or more, fuel economy
reduces rapidly. Every 5 mph when you go over 50 mph adds an additional $0.18 per
gallon of fuel. You can help the planet, your wallet, and your safety by slowing down.

3. Use cruise control : You can easily comply with speed limits and save fuel by using
cruise control while on the highway. Before activating the cruise control setting, make
sure that the weather conditions are good and that the traffic around you is steady but not
heavy.

4. Buy smarter: If you’re looking for a new vehicle, you don’t need to buy an electric or
hybrid vehicle to get a fuel-efficient car. Steer clear of large SUVs, vans, and trucks if
you want to stick with green purchases. Vehicles that achieve 30 miles per gallon or
higher are considered fuel efficient.
5. Fill wisely: When you put gas in your car, don’t refill your tank. Extra pumping after the
pump has stopped can cause harmful vapors to escape from your tank and can force liquid
fuel into the cylinders. Another way to reduce vapor emissions is to make sure the fuel
cap is securely fastened.
