6. Tutorials and tutorial tests (quizzes)
• At the end of each section you will receive that section’s tutorial questions. Every
week you will write an online tutorial test / quiz of +/- 10 marks on the work covered
in that particular or previous week.
7. Online assessments
• A document on the guidelines on how to take online assessments on eFundi will be
uploaded on eFundi under Resources.
• After familiarizing yourself with the document, you will be given an online practise
assessment, will call it Quiz 0.

• +/- 9 tutorial tests (weekly quizzes)
• 1 Matlab assignment

9. Semester mark (SM) / continuous evaluation mark
• Tuts / quizzes + Matlab assignment – 30%
• Class test – 30%
• Semester test – 40%
10. To pass
• Need SM ≥ 40% to write exams
• Exam Mark (EM)
• Final mark (FM) = (SM+EM)/2
• To pass, you need FM ≥ 50% AND EM ≥ 40%
