WIRELESS GSM PIR MOTION ALARM USER MANUAL


Introduction
CX901 is a portable battery operated GSM PIR motion detector alarm. When the PIR detects movement,
the unit will emit a 130 decibel siren. If a GSM SIM card (not included) is installed, CX901 will send a
SMS and dial up-to 3 preset telephone numbers. Either wall mounting or free standing is available for
easy installation.

What’s in the box


Check and identify the contents of your package :
 1 x Main unit
 1 x Remote fob
 2 x Fixing screws to secure rotary bracket to the wall
 1 x Fixing screw to secure rotary bracket to battery back cover
 User manual
Note: The screws will be found in a plastic bag in the battery compartment "M".

Operation

Battery & GSM SIM Card installation


1 Open the battery cover by removing the two screws on the reverse of the unit. Insert 3 x AA Alkaline
batteries (not included) as below diagram M . Once the last battery is installed, a beep will be
sounded as an indication that the batteries are installed correctly.

2 LED Indicator will be lighted up when the battery is low as below diagram F .

3 Insert a GSM SIM card as below diagram J . A click will be sounded once the SIM card is inserted
properly. The SIM card can be removed by pushing it.

4 This alarm does not support SIM card verification. Do not use PIN code for the SIM card.

Programming the remote fob


To activate the remote fob :

1 Press the Learn button L on MH 901;

2 Press the Learn code button C on the side of the remote fob;

3 2 beeps will be sounded;

4 Red LED F will be flashed;

5 The code is paired with the unit and the remote fob successfully.

To deactivate the remote fob :

 Hold the learn code C and remove the batteries. Then the remote fob does not have code
programming connected with any main unit.

Activating the keypad


Under disarm mode, press Learn button L to activate the keypad of the main unit. If no button is
pressed in 15 seconds, the keypad will be locked automatically. The keypad will still be locked even
after the unit is armed by the remote fob.

Recording voice message


1 Under disarm mode, press # 1 #;

2 Red LED light is on;

3 Start recording for max.6 seconds; Speak closely to the microphone K ;

4 Once the main unit is triggered, it will auto dial the programmed phone number and repeatedly play
the voice message.

Programming the phone numbers
To programme a set of telephone numbers under the disarm mode, assuming the phone number is
“123456789” as an example:

1 Press * 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * to store the 1st telephone number ;

2 Press * 2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * to store the 2nd telephone number ;

3 Press * 3 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * to store the 3rd telephone number ;

4 The green LED will flash 3 times to indicate that the numbers have been stored correctly.

 A total of 3 sets of telephone numbers with a maximum of 17 digits can be programmed.

To delete the stored numbers, press * 1 * ; * 2 * ; * 3 * ; the green LED will flash 3
times to indicate that the numbers have been deleted.

Silent mode setting


 To disable the siren (the alarm will have no siren when it’s triggered) :

1 Under disarm mode, press * 7 * ;


2 One “beep” will be sounded.
 To reactivate the siren (the siren will be resumed when the alarm is triggered) :

1 Under disarm mode, press Learn button * 7 * ;


2 Two “beep” will be sounded.

Activating / Deactivating SMS function


 To deactivate SMS function (the alarm will not send SMS but dial when it’s triggered) :

1 Under disarm mode, press Learn button # 9 # ;


2 One “beep” will be sounded.

 To reactivate SMS function (the alarm will send SMS and dial when it’s triggered) :

1 Under disarm mode, press Learn button # 9 # ;


2 Two “beep” will be sounded.

Indicator status
Status Indication

Red LED is on Low battery, need to replace battery

Red LED flashes once A pre-set time is up

Green LED flashes 3 times Current operation is completed

Green LED flashes in every 3 seconds GSM network is accessed with strong signal

Yellow LED flashes in every 3 seconds Weak network access signal

Three “beep” Error occurs (Data entry is incorrect)

SMS Alert for low battery, when you got the sms alert ,then if the unit be triggered , it
could siren ,but cannot make phone call and send sms, when the Red LED is on ,the
unit completely cannot work .

Installing the Main Unit
The PIR motion detector has a range of up-to 10 meters with approximate angles of 90 degrees vertical
and 120 degrees horizontal. Install the rotary mounting bracket to the wall at an appropriate position
within the detected area.

 Arming the Main Unit :

1 Press the "ARM" button on the remote fob.

2 One ”beep” will be sounded as an indication that the unit has armed.

3 The alarm will be activated after 30 seconds.

 Disarming the Main Unit :

1 Press the "CLR" button on the remote fob.

2 One “beep” will be sounded as an indication that the unit has disarmed.

Pairing with other devices


CX901 (the wireless GSM PIR motion alarm) is a master unit. It can be paired with different slave units
such as PIR video camera, PIR motion sensor alarm, door and window sensor alarm, mini siren box etc.

All of the below models are compatible with CX901. Once they learn the programme code from the
same remote fob as CX901, they can be paired with CX901 to construct the whole alarm system.

Important
Please check with the supplier of the GSM SIM card that they have sufficient network coverage for the
area that the CX901 is intended to be installed.
