Causes:
- Stress
- Low testosterone levels
- Toxic masculinity
- Environment

Impacts:
- Physical pain (headaches, back)
- More irritable and angry
- Reckless behavior (substance abuse, road rage)
- Dangerous thoughts (self harm, suicide)
Depression in Women
Causes:
- Hormone changes that occur:
- after birth
- during menstrual cycle
- during menopause.
- Social media
Impacts:
- Anxiousness
- Trouble sleeping
- Harmful thoughts towards self or child
- Lower serotonin levels
- Low self esteem
Main differences
Women:
Hormonal types of depression (exclusive to women)
- Postpartum
- Perinatal
- Premenstrual dysphoric disorder
- Perimenopausal

Men:
More environment based (no exclusive types)
