The Touchscreen is the main HMI which is located on the bridge. The lights can be controlled, either
individually or in groups, and monitored for their status.
The switching of a group of lights is tailored to suit the functions and types of lights fitted to ship. This
is specified at point of order e.g. Navigation, Towing, Anchored, NUC, RIAM, CBD etc.
The Power Supply and Interface Panel is normally located with the bridge console. This provides power
to the Touchscreen and is a communication link between the Touchscreen and Navigation Light Control
Cabinet.
The Navigation Light Control Cabinet provides power to each light and communicates with the
Touchscreen, responding to commands and reporting the status of the lights.
The SRTP system provides an emergency back up to switch on the 4 essential navigation lights in case
of failure or inaccessibility of the main control system.
The navigation lights will have Dual or Single LED circuits as shown in the parts list. Dual navigation
lights can be used for primary and emergency lights therefore negating the need to have a separate
light for each.
With the exception of the portable lights, all lights are current controlled (CL) and driven by the control
system. The portable lights are only available in 24V DC and separate from the control system.
Cabling:
Portable lights are supplied with a 5m cable and Scame industrial plug.
The Obstruction light (CTL-928) is supplied with a 1.5m flying lead.
The Touchscreen is supplied with power and communication cables.
All other lights, the Power Supply and Interface Panel, the Navigation Light Control Cabinet and the
SRTP cabinet, are all supplied without cables.
How to Order:
The following two tables list the parts required for the system.
The first table lists the all the parts of the control system. Note that you will need only one of the
Navigation Light Control Cabinets which is dependent upon how many lights are in the system.
The second table lists the types of lights that are available.
Select these based upon the functions of the vessel and consider any requirements for emergency
lights. For these you should choose those with Dual circuits.
In addition to this, specify the requirements for the grouping of lights and any requirements for
integration with the Whistle, IPMS, signalling etc. Include as much detail as possible.
