Cross Docking

One of the first Colombian companies to implement Cross


Docking. It started the process at the end of the 90's and from
2001 it managed to implement this practice completely, at the
same time with its different suppliers.

The implementation of Cross Docking allows to significantly or
totally reduce inventories in some cases, in addition to
streamlining the supply chain.

What makes it possible to succeed ?


1. Consolidation of deliveries in one place per city acording to
the type of goods, eliminating separate invoicing of orders and
split deliveries.
2. Preservation of the cold chain in refrigerated and frozen
products.

Warehouse and Transport

ÉXITO has been building a logistics network that has as


a fundamental element the place and time in which the
goods are delivered. For each of the warehouses, in each

city and for each type of merchandise, there is a delivery

Transportation is outsourced and different types of


vehicles are used depending on the merchandise, if it is
within the same city

Easy access: The peripheral areas of Bogota since the vehicular flow is much lower.
Infrastructure: The territory allowed the construction and development of the
warehouse.

Location: Allows the products to be brought in from different places without having
to go through Bogota.
Access for workers: It is on the outskirts of Bogota, approximately 150 meters
from the Siberia traffic circle, on the road to Cota, 6 kilometers from the
Transmilenio Portal on Calle 80, which connects the entire city.
Access to transportation routes: It is centered at the beginning of the future Ruta
del Sol, a road that goes to the Caribbean Coast and connects with Santander,
Antioquia and Urabá. It is also close to the international airport.
