Dear Prins customer,

As from mid-September 2018, Prins delivers a new feature to reset the Petrol Gauge via CAN Bus
for all PSA VSI-2.0-DI conversions.

What’s new?
It is no longer necessary to mount the fuel reset module or relay with resistor. The Petrol Gauge
is now reset via the CAN bus of the BSI. Controlling and connecting via the CAN bus is more
efficient and saves a lot of conversion time.

What to do?
Use an AFC-2.1-DI 8D, and add extra CAN-wires to CAN2 of the main connector to the OBD
connector pin 3 and 8.

New ordered kits

All new ordered PSA kits and manuals have been modified with the correct parts and
instructions.

Modify existing conversions

Replace the current AFC for an AFC-2.1-DI 8D, mount the extra CAN2 wires, and flash with the
latest online firmware.

Use the correct CAN-wire module that belongs to the main connector. (See bulletin 290)

Check functionality
Use parameter ‘PSA Petrol Gauge CAN Reset counter’ [22309] to check the functionality. After
each ‘ignition on’ and confirmation of the BSI, the counter will increase by 1. When above 255,
the counter returns to 1.
