Lower Shell Play Term French Examination – Play 2022

The end-of-term assessment for French will take place on Monday 5th December 2022 and will
last one hour and a half.

It will consist of a reading comprehension and two written tasks : one 90-word essay and one
130-140 word essay (with a choice between 2 questions for the latter).
You will need to write accurately for the exam; your verbs and the range of the structures
used will also be paramount. Do revise the vocabulary and the grammar you have covered
and go over past mistakes in your essays: use the grammar workbook and your Cambridge
IGCSE French textbook; finally, have a battery of elaborate structures ready.
Please note that the Listening EoT examination will be on Wednesday 30 November (Period 3).

The topic areas for IGCSE remain unchanged and they are:

Everyday activities (home life, school)

Personal and social life (routine, health)
The world around us (hometown, people)
The world of work (education)
The international world (holiday, transport, etc.)

Please go over past essays and the main grammatical points.

Bon courage!
