THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE

Rationale
Technology plays a big role, especially in today’s new educational system.
Technology provides students with easy-access information, accelerated learning, and
fun opportunities to practice what they learn. It enables us, students, to explore new
subjects and deepen our understanding of difficult concepts, particularly in the ICT
strand. Education is vital in any type of society for the conservation of the lives of its
associates and the preservation of public formation. This study aims to reveal the role of
technology in education and also reveal the factors that technology has contributed to
the new educational system.

Digital technologies can shift the traditional role of teachers and students both
within and outside the classroom. Since the new normal education has started teachers
use digital technology to connect to students and use it as a key to new information,
ideas, and perspectives. The utilization of technology helps make teaching and learning
in the new educational system more meaningful and fun.

Technology also has the power to transform teaching by bringing in a new model of
connected teaching. This model links teachers to their students and to professional
content, resources, and systems to help them improve their instruction and personalize
learning. Utilizing technology refers to proficiency in applying technological resources to
instructional goals in a given teaching-learning situation.
Background of the Study

He believes that the right application of instructional technology, which is made up of


contemporary educational technology materials, might address the educational issues
related to quantity and quality. Technology in education is a methodical approach to
planning, executing, and assessing the teaching-learning process. The use of
educational technology improves the efficiency, clarity, and significance of teaching.
Resources of every kind are employed to facilitate learning. Learning has taken
precedence over teaching in the conventional teacher-centered classroom approach.
The method is known as a resource-based or student-centered approach, with the
student as the source. A new global economy "powered by technology, fueled by
information, and driven by knowledge" has been produced due to globalization and
technological transformation that has developed in tandem over the past fifteen years.
Schools cannot remain merely educational institutions as the half-life of information
continues to shorten and access to information grows rapidly.
Theoretical Framework

THEORY OF SOCIAL CONSTRUCTIVIST

Software for education can significantly improve student learning. There is


currently a lot of interest in and spending on technology for education since it is
currently available and there is a political will to attempt new techniques. Following a
discussion of some of the pertinent issues, a framework that expands upon Marr and
Poggio's (1977) is presented. Although terms like blended learning, computer-assisted
instruction, computer-supported education, edutainment, flipped classrooms, intelligent
tutoring systems, interactive learning environments, personalized learning, serious
games, teaching machines, etc. are relatively new labels, people have been considering
the cognitive processes behind these ideas for millennia. Many of the problems that are
currently being faced have already been addressed, such as how to give teachers clear,
actionable information about how their pupils are doing, generating enough content for
pupils), yet some of the issues experienced by, for instance, the teaching machines of
the 1950s can be addressed more easily with modern computers (e.g., allowing multiple
response formats for questions).
Suppes (1966) points out that whereas Alexander the Great was able to receive
individualized instruction from Aristotle, not many people have this opportunity. He
claimed that if a computer could impart Aristotle's knowledge and abilities, this might be
scaled up to help many students. It is not economically feasible to train millions of
people to be personal instructors like Aristotle. However, if computer software could be
created to perform particular activities as well as Aristotle did, the extra expenses of
scaling this up to allow more people to benefit would be quite minimal if the necessary
hardware were already in place.
Statement of the Problem

This study aimed to determine the contributing factors of the utilization of technology
in the new educational system among the grade 12-ICT PROGRAMMING student of the
Maguikay National High School and Cabancalan National High School, the School Year
2022-2023.

performance of the Grade 12 ICT PROGRAMMING students in Maguikay
National High School and Cabancalan National High School?

learning performance of Grade 12 ICT PROGRAMMING students?
4. Based on the finding, What interventions can be proposed?
Scope and Delimitation of the Study

The scope of our study is to discover how utilizing technology is a contributing


factor to the new educational system.

The study is delimited to students who school in Maguikay National High School
and Cabancalan National High School. The main purposes of our study are to point out
the contributing factors to the educational system and to improve the efficiency, clarity,
and significance of teaching.

The conceptual framework for this study is shown in Figure 1.1 shows how the
variables used in this study which is utilizing technology.

The study will investigate the effects, and benefits of utilizing technology in the
new educational system, its advantages, and disadvantage of the utilization of
technology as a contributing factor among the students in grade 12- ICT. These will
show the overall result of researching Utilizing Technology; A Contributing Factor to the
New Educational System Among the Grade 12 ICT Student of Maguikay National High
School and Cabancalan National High School.
Significance of the Study

The significance of this study is to see how the educational devices/technologies


have contributed to the new educational system among the Grade 12 ICT students
school year 2022-2023. This study bears the significant benefit of the following
beneficiaries:

To students/learners. The student will benefit from this study for this research will
give them more ideas on how to utilize technology effectively to help them with their
studies. The students shall gain more knowledge on how to learn effectively amidst the
new educational system. For Programmers, the result will provide information on how to
utilize technology in school. What is the positive/negative of using technological devices
for the performance of programming?

Teachers. Teachers can also get more ideas from this research on handling their
students and the quality of a good education. This will give them more ideas to enhance
their students’ learning in the new educational system.

For School. The school will benefit from this study if the research shows positive
results on the utilization of technology in the new educational system of the students
this will give more credibility and accountability to the school. The school may be more
recognized if this research shows positive outcomes.

Parents. The parents will benefit from this study for this will help them guide their
children on the proper usage of technology. They can also help their children learn and
you can watch their progress on their work. Looking at their children’s progress and
showing them support can also give their child strength and inspiration. Such feedback
enables your child to self-monitor and gives you, and your child’s other teachers
information to know how to provide effective support.

The Researchers. The researchers will benefit from this study for this will be based
on our defense and the outcome will affect our grades. However, the researchers also
want to seek the contribution of the utilization of technology in the new educational
system.

The Future Researchers. Future researchers will benefit from this study because
they can also use this foundation in their related studies and find some errors they can
point out and change. They can use this based on their studies that have the same topic
as this research.

Definition of term

Utilizing

To utilize is to use what you have or what is available, and it is a three-syllable word
meaning the same thing as the one-syllable "use." ... You can utilize a shorter word to make a
sentence easier to read.

Technology
Technologies are artifacts created through the methodical application of
knowledge and used to accomplish practical goals. They are extensively used in daily
life as well as in the fields of science, industry, communication, and transportation. Both
tangible instruments like machinery or utensils and immaterial ones like software are
considered technology.

Respondents

A person who replies to something, especially one supplying information for a


survey or questionnaire or responding to an advertisement.

Investigate
Carry out a formal or systematic inquiry to discover and examine the facts of (an
incident, allegation, etc) to establish the truth.
