WHERE AND WHEN?


This year, the Chinese New Year is celebrated in central London on
Sunday, January 22, 2023.

It is also identified with the symbol of a rabbit, which is the fourth of the
12 animals of the Chinese zodiac.
It represents that this year there will be acting with Caution when making
big changes, because there can be challenges. The last Year of the Rabbit
took place in 2011, civilizations based their calendars around the cycle of
the moon, so determining when the Chinese New Year is is different every
year.

CHINESE NEW YEAR FOOD


During the Chinese New Year, it is typical to eat fruits such as tangerines,
oranges and grapefruit, they are generally round and they say that they are
golden in color.
Another typical Chinese New Year food is nian gao, which is like a rice
cake.
And finally the tangyuan, is also made of rice with water, and they are
cooked in boiling water.
