Why do I teach English?

I teach English because the work is interesting and well-suited to my interests. I’ve

always loved talking about languages and learning why they function the way that they do. I’m

always asking “why” so I love to help students when they have their own questions about

English. When I bring it up to people, they’re always interested to know more about it.

Sometimes they ask about my students and sometimes they ask about what I enjoy most about

the job. I think this job is well-suited to me.
