Objetivo: Identificar los pasos para escribir una historia en un texto escrito en tiempo
pasado simple.

1.- Read carefully this story and analize it answering the questions below

“Short love story”

Lizzy was an intelligent a beautiful girl she was nineteen years old and she worked
in two Jobs as a seller and a waitress, she worked so hard because she needed the money
to study in the university, her dreams was being a psychologist and now she was making her
dreams came true.

The first day in her classes she was so excited when she opened the door, Lizzy didn´t
realised there was a boy in the other side and pushed him away – sorry she said, I didn´t
know that you were there…the boy look at her in an angry mood and said – be careful silly
girl!
What did you said to me?¡ she was brave and she couldn´t allowed that no one treated her in a
bad way, the teacher arrived and calmed down the environment, with the class Lizzy forgot for a
moment this boy but she hated him since the first moment that she met.

After a time in her studies she could see that Josh was a lazy and arrogant boy, the other
students didn´t feel well with him , so nobody worked with him and he didn´t want to be with
the others, he was intelligent too but not a good person at all.
One night, after finishing the class Lizzy went to the restaurant where she worked as a
waitress, she went to the table to got the order and suddenly she listened someone laughing and
mocking her – So this is Lizzy! Poor girl …I don´t know how can you study with me …if you work in
a place like this … she felt so embarrassed because she couldn´t do anything in that moment, just
listen how the group was laughing at her. She couldn´t stood anymore and picked up the beers
that Josh ordered and poured it in his head when this happened she was immediately fired from

was passing by and he realized that he was reminding her
everyday , she was in everything in everywhere what he could do, he finally fell in love with that
woman which she hated him with all her forces.

He tried to apologise with her but she didn´t want anything with him, he started to change
in class, helped their classmates , studying with everybody, but she ignored his changes.
 One day she was worried because she needed money to pay her studies , she was sad
because she couldn´t find another job, suddenly she received a phone call from her boss from the

restaurant, he mentioned that he needed her help, so she got her job again.

She was happy again and working in this job. Josh appeared sometimes in the restaurant but he
didn´t talk with her, she could feel that he stared her for seconds and then dissapeared and now
she didn´t feel bad with him, she found herself waiting for him every night , waiting his intense
way of looking – What am I doing now? She thought , Do I miss him? What happens to me?.

One night the boss of Lizzy was closing the restaurant with her and he mentioned Josh, this
caught her attention and asked – Do you know him? , Yes, he said, He is the son of the investment
of my restaurant, he talked to me some months ago for you, he asked me to give your job back to
you.

She was so excited for this news, her heart beat so fast that she got dizzy for a moment. -Don´t be
mad with him, said the boss, He is a good man and I think that something or someone has done a
change in him, he´s different now, he´s a good person Lizzy.

The next day Lizzy was climbing the stairs in the university and she felt nervous when saw him in

front of her, face to face, she blushed and said to him – Hi.. , he astonished for her greeting – Are you
saying Hi to me? … yes.. And thank you for helping me getting my job back. She replied.

- Oh I told him not to say anything … I was really sorry ..I was an ashole that time but I´m not
anymore, I guess… can we start again? …I´m Josh, Nice to meet you … stretching his hands to her
…I´m Lizzy, nice to meet you too! tooking his hands. And now they were both in the same sinthony
just the time helped them to realised they were in love.
