adaptation of these require from the learner the ability to:
I. OBJECTIVES:
Topic: Evaluating the Adaptation of a Literary Text Using Self- and Peer-assessment Based on
Rationalized Criteria.

The teacher will play a video of an adaptation Filipino Contemporary poem
entitled “Beyond Forgetting” written by Rolando Carbonnel.
b) Analysis
o Has the adaptation of the poem into a song brought new interpretations to

o Have you tried giving comments or feedbacks to anything you have watched?

C. Application
PERFORMANCE TASK:
The teacher will group the class into four (4) groups.
The students will assess the video they made from the previous lesson.
After watching the video, they are going to evaluate their performance.
Each group will assess their own video and the teacher will also assign every
group to assess the other group’s video.
The students will assess their works based on the given rubric below.
They will be given ten (10) minutes for their assessment.

Each group will choose a member to present their assessment and explain
how they rated themselves and the other group.
They will be given a maximum of two (2) minutes each to present their
output.

Using the given criteria in assessing an adaptation of a poem, analyze and rate
the poem “The Martyr” written by Nick Joaquin. Search for the video online and see
how it was adapted. Include the link where you watched the video.
