Task Title: CELEBRATING CULTURAL HERITAGE: GAMABA AWARDEES

Task Description:
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) established the Gawad sa Manlilikha
ng Bayan or GAMABA to recognize and celebrate the country's traditional artists and their contributions
to the preservation of Philippine culture and heritage. In this performance task, you will research and
present on the achievements and legacy of selected GAMABA awardees.

Task Steps:
1. Research on the background, culture, and contributions of at least two (2) GAMABA awardees.
You can choose from any of the current or past awardees listed on the NCCA website.
2. Create a visual presentation (e.g., PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva) that showcases the life and works
of the selected GAMABA awardees. Your presentation should include the following:
Brief biography of the awardee
Description of their traditional art form and techniques
Examples of their best works
Significance of their contribution to Philippine culture and heritage
3. Prepare a script that explains your presentation. This should include an introduction, a
discussion of your chosen awardees, and a conclusion that highlights the importance of
recognizing and preserving traditional arts in the Philippines.
4. Record a video of yourself presenting your work, including your visual presentation and script.
The video should be no longer than 5 minutes.
