Do’s and Don’ts for a Research Scholar

Do’s:
1. Communicate the work clearly and precisely.
2. Spotlight the ideas and methodologies involved.
3. Double-verify the accuracy and correctness of the data
presented.
4. The presented materials should be given a thorough
conception of the topic and all its aspects.
5. Refer to diverse sources of research for trustworthy and
up-to-date information.
6. Do scrutinize the research and information for reliability
and present it with ample analysis and logic to show how
it conveys the research.
7. Provide solid evidence and sufficient supporting
arguments to reinforce the findings.
8. There must be enough detail about the research in the
paper with scientific terminologies.
9. Maintaining track of the bibliography and references.
10. Proofread the paper several times.

Don’ts:
1. Do not misrepresent yourself.
2. Do not include anything that does not answer the
question.
3. Do not lengthen the paper unnecessarily.
4. Do not reveal incomplete or absurd reasons for
doing the research.
5. Do not exceed the recommended word limit.
6. Do not make too many generalizations.
7. Do not write in vacuum. Make sure that each of
your findings support the cause.
8. Do not forget the reference any supporting
materials or related research done by other
prominent researchers it augments and
complements the research paper.
9. Do not cite Wikipedia. Rather find an absolutely
reliable source for the citation.
10. Do not plagiarize and always proof read the
work before submission.
