Reliability – We need to purchase the products from those vendors who respond to
emergency requirements promptly. Know their performance and ensure they have a
stable supply of quality products.
Maintenance – One of the primary causes of electrical fires and electrocutions is
faulty outlets. We need to purchase charging outlets/stations with at least an annual
service agreement (at no extra or high charges).
Needs Assessment
Purchasing acknowledges the necessity of acquiring more charging outlets for the
university. At present, out of the 50 outlets available in the school, some are not
functioning properly, and due to their high demand, they are frequently occupied and
inconveniently inaccessible to both students and staff.
Vendor Evaluation
Kayal – Having been in business for 20 years, Kayal Electric has a professional
after-sales service team to provide customers with 24-hour service. Moreover, the
company has advanced testing technology and a complete quality control system.
They also have strong research and development capabilities, and provide 7*24
hours of online technical support for customers throughout the country, with some
on-site services. Lastly, they offer 2 years of warranties.
Piwin – Having been in business for 13 years, staff and personnel have certified
training and provide a complete support service including maintenance and other
after-sales service. In addition, the sales team engineers are on call at any time to
solve technical problems. Technical engineers will formulate professional solutions
based on customers' actual problems. Sales staff will always follow up on the
production process of the project and feedback on the production situation with
customers at any time. Also, the technical team can quickly respond to customer
questions and provide professional technical services. Moreover, this company
offers a 1-year warranty.
Kaizen - This company has been in business started since 2020. Their personnel
has technical expertise and experience, and all Kaizen employees focus on
productivity, effectiveness, and safety for the company and their customers. They
also provide reliability of supply as well as offer 7-10% discounts on their product.

Cost Analysis
Charging stations/outlet – UM Tagum College requests 50 charging outlets to be
distributed to every room as a replacement for those outlets that are not usable or
not working anymore. Our analysis has found an affordable outlet that meets your
specifications that would cost P1,605.00 each. When totaling the cost, the overall is
P80,250.00 thus it does not exceed the budget.
The following tables compare the three vendors we researched on a scale of 1-3. 3
representing the highest score.
Summary of Findings
Considering the expenses involved, acquiring a reasonably priced outlet does not
exceed its budgeted cost, hence, there is no need to modify the budget.
All three suppliers possess the particular standards that you demand. Nonetheless,
Kayal and Kaizen fall short of meeting the standards. Specifically, Kayal has issues
with maintenance and dependability, whereas Kaizen lacks in warranty,
maintenance, and service quality.
Recommended Action
Based on the data presented in the table, it is evident that Pawin Company has met
the criteria to be chosen as the primary vendor. To cover the additional cost of their
services, we recommend adding a miscellaneous fee of P7 to each student's tuition
fee by dividing the total cost by the number of enrolled students.
