1. What makes a person who advocate a practice excellence with stronger character, very
successful?

A person who has an excellence of character and becomes very successful is a result of his/ her
determination and sincere efforts. As the great philosopher Aristotle once said “we are what we
repeatedly do, excellence therefore is not all act, but a habit. It is not given but as skill that needs
and take practice nor excellence is a way of life. A person that embodies a character of enthusiasm,
perseverance, courage and dauntless that sees obstacles as opportunities will definitely achieve
success. Hence, success is made out of an excellence character who always strives to do better.

2. How do you demonstrate “galing, gawa, gawi and gana in your chosen program (Engineering,
Architecture, Teacher Education, Business, IT, AND ETC?)

As a future educator, I can demonstrate galling by maintaining professionalism in all areas from personal
appearance to organizations and preparedness to be competent for each day and from there, comes
respect because of professional manner. And the gawi, as a Teacher, I will listen to my students rants
and concerns that affects them, I will free my schedule for anyone who needs, I will make sure that no
one will ever know that I’m having a bad day and leave personal issues outside school and I will be mire
stronger for them. Also, the gawa, I will do my best to offer the highest quality of education as possible, I
will use y creativity and think of new teaching strategies that will enable every student understands the
key concepts. Lastly the gana, I will work tirelessly to create challenging nurturing environment for my
students as well as value their ideas and opinions, letting them feel safe to express and motivate them
that they can be somebody they wanted them to be.

3. From the core values, action values and 4G’s, how would you describe a UMian student or
graduate?

A UMian student is disciplined in all aspects. It might be I academics or extracurricular matters. A UMian
that possess an excellence of character, respectful, innovative, gets their work done and support peers.
A UMian is engage in class and is enthusiastic about learning, not only after about getting high grades. A
UMian values the privilege to education. As the UMian student leaves the institution, the values and
principles taught are well- rooted and put into practice that may inspire others to do the same.

Give 3 scenarios in each Attitude.

A. Fair play

Badminton

 Fair play in badminton refers honesty. Example is when you make an illegal shot or action,
commit the act and call it immediately. By doing so, you are treating you opponent fairly and
objectively and will most often get the same response when the situation is reversed.
Volleyball

 As observed, while playing volleyball there is a mandatory substitution procedure of rotating


into the game into position six was instituted. This is to achieved an equal and fair playing time.

Basketball

 While playing basketball play fairly, observe the rules and play without cheating even you’ve lost
the game. Games are pointless unless played fairly.

B. Respect

Badminton

 When your opponent scores, return the shuttlecock in a polite way, as this shows respect and
acceptance.

Volleyball

 Show respect to the coaches and to the official s of the game. Especially, the referees treat them
respectfully even when the make an incorrect call – respect is an essential tenet of good
sportsmanship.

Basketball

 Respect and understand the rules of the game. The referee’s decisions should be respected. If
you have an objection, follow procedure and request assistance of your coach and head referee.

C. Empathy

Badminton

 Whether you win or losses the match, you should always shake hands with your opponent,
congratulate and end the match with good sportsmanship.

Volleyball

 After encouragement to teammates, when you observed that she is being hopeless and putting
all the blames on herself, let her feel that you understand and everything is fine.

Basketball
 Share opponent, victory. Be happy and accept their triumph without any argument. Show
empathy on their victory because they’ve also made their best.
