In social sciences and psychology, virtual reality offers a cost-effective tool to study and replicate
interactions in a controlled environment. It can be used as a form of therapeutic intervention. For
instance, there is the case of the virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET), a form of exposure
therapy for treating anxiety disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and
phobias.

As VR continues to grow, support and development will rise exponentially and

so will its uses, it is always becoming more useful.
VR provides a virtual world unbound by physics in which provides new
opportunities for social interactions, especially with people who live in
different parts of the world.
There are a variety of recreational uses that provide immersive experiences
which can be seen as an extension of the immersion from cinema, providing
novel storytelling experiences.
There are lots of benefits for simulations, training and education, especially in
military, astronautics, aviation, engineering and medical applications. VR
provides learning experiences that are useful in demonstrating how things will
react in real life simulating physics.
