IV. HSBC'S FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

1. Analysis of capital sources and use of capital:

Đơn vị: Triệu đồng, %
Year 2018 2019 2020 2021
Total 100.732.644 125.167.367 129.044.788 163.700.764

Adequacy
ratio

HSBC's total capital increased continuously from 2018 to 2021 (up

from 100,732,644 to 163,700,764 million dong), of which equity
accounted for 40.01% and liabilities accounted for 360%. In total
capital, the proportion of liabilities is higher than the proportion of
equity. Thus, the company's capital mobilization policy at the end of the
year compared to the beginning of the year tends to increase the
proportion of capital mobilized from outside, reduce the proportion of
capital mobilized from within.
Looking at the table, we can see that in 2018 and 2019, the capital
adequacy ratio reached 14%, but in 2020, this index increased
significantly to 16% and then decreased to 15.45%.
Overall, HSBC's capital adequacy ratio maintained at a stable and
high level compared to the minimum capital adequacy ratio prescribed
by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) ( The general rule for CAR is 8%).
