They have more planes as compare to other airlines such as Emirates. They have the global
network of faster shipping and have different carriers that offer valid overnight services
depending on the time of the day you want your customers to receive their package. They
deliver 6 million packages on every day basis , On the other hand UPS is shipping overnight
through their priority mail express service. It is one of the cheapest options for the package
under €70 starting from $24.70. And even if you place an order at the Monday night 8 PM you
will receive the order on the very next day. This is the efficiency that these companies are
delivering to its customers and hence have helped them to increase their customer base. They
operate seven days a week and there is no extra delivery charges for the weekends, furthermore
FedEx along with the main hub has secondary hubs so that they can deliver the product in a
very short span of time. The main super hub is in Memphis, Along with their sub head spread
across various countries such as Miami Dubai Paris Singapore et cetera. The idea behind their
super-hub is that Memphis is not geographically in the centre of US however it is near to the
main population of US.
UPS is operating in more than five continent it is the second largest delivery company in the
world. It is automated, they have planes of all sizes allowing them to move packages from big
planes to small planes within minutes and then and later on words into trucks. The airport is
the centre between Memphis and Alaska and therefore saves times leading to an increase in
efficiency. Shipping is a price sensitive business it is impossible to shift in this business until
you create your own demand. Time is money in this business the location constraints are highly
