1.0 Acceptance of this offer should be confirmed by a commitment payment of


at least 50% of SEMESTER ONE fees charged by various Schools in the
University as indicated below:

2.0 Students will be expected, as may be required during the course of their
studies, to pay the following as outlined below:

NB Please note that exemption fee above covers all the courses a student is
exempted from in the first year and are paid at the beginning of the
semester.

4.0 Students will be required to produce original copies of certificates or


statements of results, National Registration Card, valid Passport or Driving
License and four (4) color passport-size photographs (of themselves) on
the day of registration
5.0 The student and the sponsor should clearly understand that tuition and
lodging fees do not include days during the mid-semester break when
students are supposed to be away on mid-semester break.

6.0 New students will be expected to arrive on Sunday 27th August 2023
between 08.00 and 16.30 hours at the Great North Road Campus for
registration and classes in Kabwe.

7.0 Students in the School of Medicine will be required to do foundation


sciences and register for Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics where
they will have to compete for limited spaces in Bachelor of Medicine and
Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, Bachelor of Pharmacy

and Bachelor of Nursing. If they make sufficient credits, they will then be
quartered to proceed to the following year.
8.0 Requirements for foundation sciences:
- Lab coat
- Safety boots
- Goggles

9.0 Requirements for Engineering programmes in second year:

- Work suit (Full attire)


- Steel capped safety boots
- Measuring tape (5m)
- Steel rule (30cm)
- Gloves for metal workshop (leather-acid heat proof) 1 pair
- Safety goggles
- Hard hat (Head protection)

10. ALL new students will be required to undergo medical examinations at the
University Clinic, Great North Road Campus at a fee of K100.

11. A late registration fee of K300 will be paid by students arriving after 9th
September 2023. Late registration period ends on Wednesday, 15th
September 2023.
12. Payments by installments attract a surcharge of K200 which shall be levied
to cover administrative costs incurred in processing these payments.

N.B All fees irrespective of the payment plan should be settled by 21st
November 2023 for the 1st Semester and 15th May, 2024 for the 2nd
Semester respectively, failure to which a student will not be allowed
to sit for Final Examinations.

13. Requests for refund of the fees shall attract a penalty of 10% of total fees
paid, if the claim is made before the commencement of the programme.
Penalty will be 20%, if the claim is made before the end of late registration.
Thereafter, no requests for refunds shall be entertained.

14 Students are required to provide their own two plate cooker, toiletries,
stationery and sports attire. Sponsors are expected to source additional
books/study materials students may require.

15 Students registering as non-residential will not pay for lodging and will be
expected to make their own transport arrangements to and from campus.
16 Students wishing to occupy the limited University hostel accommodation
available should apply online after paying 50% of the semester fees before
commencement of the programme at

18 During the course of your studies you may be required to undertake a


Field Research Project. Your sponsors are expected to take full
responsibility to directly pay you research funds appropriately, to cover
transport, accommodation, meals as well as printing and binding the reports.

19 Students will NOT BE ALLOWED to change from one programme to the


other two weeks after registration. The change of programme should be
authorized by the Dean of the School.
