 INTRODUCTION

• Functional and structural properties are key

pavement performance indicators,

• Influenced to the conditions, comfort and safety of

flexible pavement,

• Functional failure; incapable of pavement in

carrying out their functions at the intended
serviceability,

• Structural failure; incapable of carrying the traffic

loads imposed.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT

• Flexible pavements deterioration may caused either

functional failure or structure failure or both

• Important in order to evaluate and determine the

pavements performance.

• This functional properties and structural properties

could be related each other

• Probabilities of the correlations between the

functional properties and structural properties.
