The Life Stressors and Social Resources- Adult Form (LISRES A), a 200-item inventory,
the purpose of the inventory is to evaluate and describe the type of stressors which are
part of the individual’s life. This inventory looks at the environmental factors for life
stressors and social resources, they are to monitor and evaluate the changes in life
stressors to help describe how to reduce certain stressors

The questionnaire uses a multidimensional scale as it looks at eight different domains:


physical health, housing and neighborhood, finances, work, relationship with
spouse/partner, relationship with children, relationship with extended family, and
relationship with friends and social groups. All the domains are placed into two
measurements, life stressors, and social resources; except for
physical health status and finances which are not measurements for social resources.

LIFE STRESSORS:
Miss Maryam Siddique filled out the questionnaire and the following paragraph tells the
information about those responses.

that shows she faces little to no stress for physical health

Her Home/Neighborhood T score for her Life stress profile is 69 is high which shows
that her home/ neighborhood is a form of stress in her life.

Her Finances T score for her Life stress profile is 54 which is high and it interprets that
her finances are a source of stress.

T scores for the Life stress profile for spouse is 55 and children is (N/A).

Her Extended Family T score for the Life stress profile is 59 and is below average and it
interprets that her extended family is not a source of stress.

Her friends and social activities T score for Life stress profile is 56 which is very high
and it interprets that is a source of stress in her life.

Her negative life event t scores are 71 which is above the average.

Social Resources:
Her finances T score for social stress profile is 42 which is average and it shows she
lacks resources.
Her work T score for social stress profile is (N/A).

T scores for social stress profile for spouse is 41 and children are not applicable.

Her extended family T score for the social stress profile is 45 which is below average
and it shows she lacks resources at her extended family too.

Her friends and social activities T score for social stress profile is 44 which is average
and it shows she has resources at her friends and social activities.

Interpretation: The client’s responses on the LISRES indicate the presence of moderate
ongoing life stressors across various domains such as home/Neighborhood, Finances,
Work, friends, and social activities. These stressors may contribute to the client's overall
stress levels and impact their well-being.

However, the client also demonstrated a positive level of social resources for friends
and social activities.

It is important to consider the client’s specific circumstances, context, and individual


strengths when interpreting the LISRES results. The findings from this assessment can
serve as a starting point for further discussion.
