THE END IS NEAR

Colossians 1:25, Ephesians 3:2

Introduction:

Every time people hear or experience global pandemic, calamities, famines, wars, and rumours of wars, they get
troubled and worried. Because of the gravity of these trials, they think that the world is going to end soon. But
we Christians, believe that God allowed these things to happen. As believers of God, we also believe that we are
in a spiritual battle against Satan, His enemy. Satan knows that his end is near. That is why he is doing everything
to hinder God’s plan in this world and in our life.

I. SATAN DOESN’T WANT US TO PURSUE THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE THINGS BEFORE THE RAPTURE.
1. Crowns_ – Satan doesn’t want us to obtain rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
John 6:27, 2 Timothy 4:8
2. Obedience – Temptations, afflictions, deceptions, resistance, false doctrines, and persecutions are some
of his devices to hinder us in obeying our God. 2 Corinthians 2:11, Romans 6:18, 1 Peter 1:22
3. Victory – Through Satan’s devices, he wants to keep us defeated and wants to nullify the victory that we
attained from Christ. 1 John 5:4, John 6:33, 1 Corinthians 15:57
4. Independence – God made us free from sin, Satan wants us to be in bondage again.
Galatians 2:4, 5:1, 13
5. Doctrine – Satan wants to keep us blind or ignorant from the principles of God. 1 Timothy 4:1, Matthew
15:8-9, Romans 6:17-18
 Note: “The foundation of God standeth sure”. 2 Timothy 2:19

II. GOD WANTS US TO ___________ THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE THINGS BEFORE HIS RETURN.

Conclusion: Christians, don’t be afraid, worried, nor dismayed. Trust God, focus ourselves for the things that
God wants us to be doing. He is in control of everything today and forever.
