(1) The pineapple was originally from Brazil (though there are different varieties from elsewhere). The
pineapple was spread by natives around South America and eventually to the Caribbean and the Indies – which
is where the famous Christopher Columbus discovered it in 1493 and brought it home to Europe.

(3) Pineapple is the only known source in nature of the enzyme Bromelain. Bromelain actually digests proteins.
So when you eat pineapple, it’s essentially eating you back! But don’t worry, once you swallow the pineapple,
the acids in your stomach destroy the enzymes. It is also often suggested that workers in pineapple fields have
no fingerprints because the bromelain in the pineapple wears them away. I’m not certain that this is true, but
theoretically it could occur over time. What I do know is that it’s used as a meat tenderiser, and that if you
leave it on the meat too long it will just turn to mush.
(4) Despite eating your mouth, bromelain has become recognised for its health benefits and is useful in
medical treatments for a number of ailments and diseases. For starters it is part of an approved treatment for
inflammation and swelling, particularly after surgery, and it has been proposed for treating a number of other
inflammation based disorders including osteoarthritis, autoimmune diseases and viral infections. It is also
useful for removing damaged and infected tissues from burn wounds.

(5) More recent research has pointed at its potential use in cancer treatments. A few preclinical studies (that
is; early research not yet tested in humans) have indicated that it has antitumor properties and, for instance,
has been found to stimulate death of breast and ovarian cancer cells. One study tested the effects of bromelain
on breast cancer and found evidence that women who were given bromelain (just swallowed) started
producing cells that targeted and killed breast cancer cells. However, more study in humans and on how to
apply treatments will need to be conducted before bromelain can be applied to cancer treatments.

5. Late last week, KFC announced that the company is working on developing "the meat of the future",
also known as 3D bioprinted chicken nuggets. As the demand for plant-based meat alternatives
continues to increase, KFC is one of the latest restaurant chains to jump on the faux-meat bandwagon.

On July 16, the company announced its plans to develop "innovative 3D bioprinting technology to
create chicken meat in cooperation with the 3D Bioprinting Solutions research laboratory," which
means your Kentucky Fried Chicken nuggets may not be made from chicken much longer. Instead,
these nuggets are slated to become the world's first nuggets to be produced in a lab – no chicken
required – and will look and taste as close to KFC's existing product as possible. To accomplish this,
KFC will be partnering with 3D Bioprinting Solutions, who is "developing additive bioprinting
technology using chicken cells and plant material, allowing it to reproduce the taste and texture of
chicken meat almost without involving animals in the process".

Some benefits of making and consuming biomeat as opposed to traditional meat is that the product
is cleaner and more ethically produced, as no animals are harmed in the making of it. Furthermore,
the creation of such goods has minimal impact on the environment compared with farming – energy
consumption and greenhouse gas emissions can both be drastically reduced using this method. A final
product that will undergo testing is expected to be complete in Moscow by this fall.

Household consumption, the mainstay of the Indonesian economy, shrunk by 5.5 percent in the three months,
compared to the same period last year, while spending on investments dropped by 8.6 percent, the BPS data
showed. The government spending dropped by 6.9 percent, despite having earmarked Rp 695 trillion ($47.8
trillion) in fiscal stimulus to prop up the economy. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has slammed his ministers
several times for being slow in disbursing the stimulus spending. So far, the government only spends a low 20
percent or Rp 141 trillion out of the total stimulus.

On the supply side, the transportation and warehousing sector suffered the most drawbacks in the second
quarter, contracting 31 percent. Hotel and restaurant dropped by 22 percent while the manufacturing sector,
which accounts for about a fifth of the Indonesia economy, also shrunk by 6.2 percent. On the bright side, the
agricultural sector managed to grow by 2.19 percent, as well as real estate (2.3 percent) and financial services
(1 percent). The information and technology sector grew the fastest in the period, expanding by 10.9 percent
from the same quarter last year, Suhariyanto said. "The increase in internet usage data traffic during Covid-19
and the increase in internet subscribers and interactive pay-TV put the sectors among those that are still
growing," he said. All regions in Indonesia saw their economy contracted in the period except Papua. Papua
and West Papua can still grow positively because, in the same period in 2019, economic growth contracted
23.91 percent. West Papua, in the second quarter of 2019, also contracted 0.49 percent. "In the second
quarter of 2020, there was an increase in copper and gold ore production so that economic growth in Papua
grew 4.5 percent," Suhariyanto said. Java remained the epicenter of the Indonesian economy, accounting for
58.6 percent of the country's total output.

(1) In the middle of feeling upset, someone might cheer you up by saying, “Stay positive!”. Such behavior
motivates you to get used to hiding your true feelings, then you will be trapped in toxic positivity. Toxic

certain emotions. However, Staying positive over pain could be unhelpful as well as harmful.

I’m here for you,” and it is perhaps accompanied by a hug. Listening deeply and responding with empathy is
more appropriate than giving an immediate response.

(3) A child raised in an environment of toxic positivity, which is one example of an invalidating environment,
can grow up to develop mental health issues. Many mental health experts theorize that depression, borderline
personality disorder, anxiety, codependency, bipolar disorder, and other behavior issues are the result of
chronic invalidation by a parent. Parental invalidation can persist through adolescence. Children who are told
to focus on the good and repress their negative feelings may grow up to have difficulty with intimacy and
vulnerability around others. They have been told several times not to trust their own feelings and cover them
up with forced cheerfulness and happiness.
(4) Instead of introducing toxic positivity, encourage the use of mindfulness - in yourself, in teens, and in
others. In dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) the core skill of mindfulness teaches you to acknowledge sadness,
instead of judging yourself for feeling that way. DBT does not encourage dwelling on negative emotions, but
it does not encourage suppressing them, too. DBT believes emotions are like waves: instead of fighting the
water, a DBT therapist will advise you to ride the wave. Practicing honesty with themselves and others
regarding their emotions is a big part of mental health treatment. Learning to identify, process, and manage
emotions can help reduce the symptoms of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, borderline
personality disorder, substance use, and other emotional or behavioral issues.
