a) Deinstitutionalisation is the process of replacing long-stay psychiatric hospitals
with less isolated community mental health service for those diagnosed with a
mental disorder or developmental disability.
b) Least restrictive environment means that a learner who has a disability should
have the opportunity to be educated with non-disabled peers to the greatest extent
appropriate.
c) Neurosis refers to a variety of psychological problems in which feelings of anxiety,
obsessional thoughts, compulsive acts and physical complaints without physical
disease dominate the personality.
