1. Call to Order
1.1 Welcome and Intros (Mrs. DeYoung)
Everyone just shared their names.
1.2 Approve Agenda (Bridget Cahill)
1.3 Meeting Minutes (Paige Handsaker)
We didn’t meet last week, but instead had the Bondurant-Farrar students here.
1.4 Treasurer’s Report (Reagan Schmidt)
We spent $102 on pizza and food for the Bondurant-Farrar exchange. We raised $72 through the Kiss the School
Year Goodbye fundraiser and paid that out to ISU Dance Marathon.

2. Unfinished Business
2.1 Bondurant-Farrar Student Council Exchange
In the future, we would like to do this each year and do it with a different school each year.
2.2 ISU Dance Marathon Fundraiser
Next year we need to advertise this better. See if we can announce it at the Senior Night. Get a bigger poster to
advertise it. Need to be more clear that the money is going toward kids with cancer.
2.3 PTA Carnival Volunteers
Went well. Want to do again. Gatorades ran out. Prize table was really busy. Students can get hours for Silver Cord
and PTA Scholarship also by doing this.
2.4 Reflections on the Year
Need to advertise to 9th and 10th grade at the beginning of the year such as the activity fair or the orientation. Need
more guys to join.
Talking during the meetings needs to be more impactful.
Get the DJ for homecoming now. Use the one we had this year for Crystal Ball, DJ Chase. Bridget has contact
information.
2.5 Applications
Mrs. DeYoung went and talked to 8th graders who were interested a couple of weeks ago, but only one person came
and they didn’t apply. We extended the deadline for 8th graders to May 19th. We had about 26 people apply. Three
8th graders applied, but one withdrew their application.

3. New Business
3.1 Announcement
Mrs. DeYoung is stepping down from Student Council advisor as she is going to have a much more demanding
schedule next school year. Mrs. Tiedman is taking over, but Mrs. DeYoung will be helping out.
3.2 Officer Elections
Each candidate gave a speech. Voting was then opened and will be open until Friday at 3:20 p.m.

4. Announcements
4.1 Next Meeting is Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Room 12 during seminar.
