JOIN THE INSTAGRAM FAMILY H3ODAYUKECOURSE 4 SETUP YOURUKE ZONE 1.A “good” ukulele is a ukulele that has the following qualities Comfortable action (this is the string height, or distance from the strings to the fingerboard). If the action is too high, it will be painful/uncomfortable to play the ukulele. Holds tune. This means that when you tune your instrument, it stays in tune. If your ukulele is very new, then it is normal for it to get out of tune. Has structure. Sometimes ukuleles get warped or lose their shape due to changes in humidity. If your ukulele is warped, it will not create a consistent sound. 2. Join our facebook group Search for “30 Day Uke Course” on facebook! Use this group to ask questions, share progress, and to communicate with others who are completing the course as well! 3. Join the instagram family Type “#30DayUkeCourse” into the search bar on instagram and follow the hashtag so that you can see everyone who is participating in the course. (Optional) Upload progress videos as you complete the course (Optional) If you are a little bit shy about using your existing instagram account, create one just for your ukulele playing. Many people have done this, myself included! My ukulele instagram accounts are @plazi and @bernadetteteachesmusic 4, Set up your Uke Zone Choose a space Clean it Remove clutter Make it a place where you want to spend time practicing Upload a picture of your Uke Zone on our facebook group or on your instagram. Remember to use the hashtag #30DayUkeCourse in all your captions! Hashtags help us all find each other. Set an alarm to remind you to practice every day at the same time.
