Lesson. How are laws made?

Summary
1. Laws are rules and legal systems that everyone must obey and follow.

2. All countries have legal system to protect the country and rights of its

citizens
3. Two types of laws are:

➢ Civil Law – it deals with the problems between individuals.


➢ Criminal law – it deals with the violation of state and national law.
4. A jury is a group of judges in the court that gives decisions on the cases.

5. There are different types of punishments and penalties for different civil

and criminal cases.


6. Jury makes decisions on being innocent or guilty based on the

evidences provided.
7. Separation of Power means that each branch of government i.e.

legislative, executive and judiciary is independent and balances the


other.
