Characters: Anshi- Ava, Hridya- Hazel, Arshiya- Chloe, Meenakshi- Olivia

Narrator: Like 3 peas in a pod, there were 3 close best friends: Ava, Hazel, and Chloe. They had very
different behaviors but still what can we say, your character doesn’t stop you from making friends.
Hazel likes to study and is the topper of every class. Ava here, is always excited and looks forward to
new things and finally Chloe, is not a very big fan of school but is very kindhearted.

So, back to the story, they had met in 6th grade and a whole year had gone by and its again, THE FIRST
DAY OF SCHOOL.

DAY 1,

The first 2 friends came in, one with a super excited face and one,…… well not really in a mood to
come back.

Anshi: Hi! It’s been so long, but at the same time its been such a short time, its felt like 2 months
have gone like the speed of light, Are you excited to meet our new teachers, When I saw the
timetable I was shocked, There were so many new teachers, Well, where’s Hazel I can’t see her
anywhere, probably she’s late again. I’m so excited since It’s the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Yay!

Arshiya: Yay! (in a dull and sleepy voice) Back to school again. Meeting boring teachers and having
loads of homework and exams… uhg..

Hridya comes in.

Hridya: Hi guys, long time no see, how are you all, I’m fine and doing great. Since the new timetable
came, I was so confused, why on earth is there Positive Psychology and entrepreneurship classes on
the same day…. Where could have done loads of studies and be fresh minded on the last day of
school in the week. And motivated to study more and sc-

Arshiya: okay now, stop with your hyper motivational speech its anyway first day of school, which is
the most horrible thing that has ever happened to me know you want to remind me of exams now.
No way, my mood for this day is worse now uhhhhhh……

Narration: The first day of school went as any day of school. Long assemblies, meeting new teachers,
having an class introduction for every class. And one thing that Hazel hates the most : PE was on
Monday. She kept on with her motivational speech about how we should have other subjects instead
of pe and blablablablah and others.

DAY 2

Narration: Day 2. Great just like any other day, but this day Chloe seems to be a little more cheerful
than the first day, and you know the others are the same, hazel having millions of doubts on the
portion.

Arshiya: Hi I heard there’s gonna be a new student. Herd she was pretty popular in her old school
Lets see who it is.

Anshi: Oh yes, I would love to have a new student. Meeting new people is so exciting. I hope we
become good friends with her.

Hridya: Yes, yes I would love to be friends with her. Hope she’s good at studies like me.

Narration: At that moment they hear a knock and what they see behind the door was astonishing.
Meenakshi walks in

Meenu: (in a stylish manner) Good morning ma’am. Hi everybody Nice to meet you all, Hope we can
be good friends.

Meenu sits down

DURING BREAK:

Anshi: (whispering) Should we make friends with her. She’s seems popular.

Hridya: yes I think so too, come on lets go.

Arshiya: I don’t know gu- Okay fine.

They walk up to her without listening to Arshiya.

Anshi: Hi! What’s your name?

Hridya: Oh my god your shoes are so fab, where did you get them?

Arshiya: You’re hairstyles so cute. Can you teach me how to make them?

Anshi: Would you like to be friends with us?

Meenu: Hi, my names Olivia, and thank you I bought those shoes from Nike. And yes I would love to
be friends with you all

DAY 3

Anshi and Hridya invite Meenu to our group without asking Arshiya her opinion. Meenu jojns our
group and Anshi and Hridya walk proudly as we are friends with Meenu. We chit chatted for a while.
Suddenly Hridya notices that Arshiya was not speaking to anyone and was sad. So Hridya asks her
the problem.

Hridya to herself: What happened to Arshiya? Why is she sad? Let me go ask her.

Hridya to Arshiya: What happened Arshiya? Are you ok?

DAY 4

Arshiya(sobbing): I am not fine, no one is talking to me now, including you and Ava. Everyone is
behind Olivia who always insults me.

Hridya: Oh, I’m sorry I ignored you, I never meant to. I will speak to Anshi right away and make
everything right. Hey Anshi, Arshiya is upset because Olivia has been insulting her and we had been
ignoring her for the past few days. We should go and apologize immediately.

Anshi: I feel so bad for doing that. We should go now.

Anshi and Hridya head towards Arshiya.

Anshi: I am really very sorry Arshiya, please forgive us. We promise that we’ll never ignore you and
we’ll teach Olivia how to be nice and stop insulting you.

Olivia comes in
Meenu: Oh! There you both are, what are you doing with that plump cute little girl? Look at me, so
beautiful and stylish.

Hridya: Stop insulting her.

Meenu: What’s insulting?

Hridya: According to page 143 of the dictionary, insulting means to treat with insolence, indignity, or
contempt.

Anshi: Uhg.. now’s not the time Hridya.

Then Arshiya blasts out and shoots everything in her mind to Olivia.

Arshiya: Olivia, stop insulting and making fun of me. Even though I’m not as stylish as you, I have a
good heart and that’s what matters. I’m sure my friends will agree too.

Anshi and Hridya nod there heads

Olivia goes away angrily.

DAY 5

Olivia comes in and feels bad. She apologizes to all of us.

We are happy and tell the moral

Moral: Friendship is not about looks. It is about compassion, care and togetherness.
