Claiming is quick and easy

Claims are paid out within 24 hours of receiving all relevant documentation, with one in five claims paid out in 30 minutes.

Documents required when you claim:

¸ Claimant ID
¸ Full ID number of the deceased
¸ Notice of Death form (BI-1663)
¸ Completed claim form or digital submission
¸ Statement by Police (only if the death was due to unnatural causes)

To help fast track your claim, ensure that you have a beneficiary listed on your policy with their full names, date of
birth or ID number and contact details.

Note: Non-South African citizens can now be covered on the Funeral Plan. Please see the Terms and Conditions for more
information.

If your plan is in arrears, we will collect up to two premiums.
