To Whom it May Concern:

I am pleased to recommend Angelina Briceno. Angelina was a student in my English III class from the
Summer and fall of 2022. During this time, I had the pleasure of observing this determined student
grow in both academic and personal pursuits. She is an insightful, genuine, and intelligent
individual whom I respect greatly.

As a student, Angelina is thoughtful and diligent. In class, Angelina remains focused, rarely
getting distracted or off task. She maintains a cheerful open-mindedness, whether she is
working independently or collaboratively. I could count on her to face the challenge of analyzing
a complex poem in class or improving her essay. She thrived when she connected with the
subject of study, and enjoyed discussing coursework with her peers. She was a wonderful
addition to the classroom.

In addition to her responsible nature, Angelina is an excellent team-mate. While she seems
introverted at first, she does not shy away from sharing her opinion during class discussions. In
group activities, I could count on Angelina to take an active role and to be fair towards the other
students. Furthermore, Angelina’s attitude towards her peers and teachers is polite, and she
treats others with the respect she wishes to receive. Even when she disagrees with someone,
she will give them the benefit of the doubt and listen to their point of view. While she may not
change her own opinion, she will try to understand why others believe and act the way they do.
She knows when to observe and when to make a statement. Angelina is exactly the kind of
person you want on your team.

When it comes to writing, Angelina is a creative person who appreciates the opportunity to
express herself. Her favorite project was a satirical advertisement about women’s beauty
products. She created props and staged a series of photos, which she incorporated into a
“magazine” ad. In the advertisement, she used a magic potion to turn the model (another
teacher) into a young woman (herself). Her Halloween themed satire spoofed the “magic” quality
of skin care products that promise eternal youth and beauty. She submitted it to our Halloween
Zine.

Her most challenging and rewarding assignment was an essay about anxiety. She went
above and beyond in this piece in order to tell her own story about anxiety. It was a meaningful
text for her, and she worked very hard on it because she wanted to share her story and offer
hope to others who face the difficulties of managing anxiety. The final product was superb.

Outside of school, Angelina has expressed a love of dance, of personal fashion,
aesthetics, and all things artistic. She hopes to pursue an education that allows her to explore
these fields, and I have no doubt that she will be successful in these endeavors.

In conclusion, Angelina is intelligent, self-aware, and diligent. As this student continues to

mature, I have no doubts that she will succeed in his future educational and professional
pursuits. I will always remember this young woman for her openness and creativity. She was
truly a pleasure to teach. It is with delight that I recommend Angelina Briceno for any academic
or professional opportunities.
