Translating unknown words and finding phrases and slang used in daily communication are useful reading strategies. It is not necessary to know all English words since not even all Portuguese words are known, but being able to communicate properly is important.

    How important is reading in English to you? Why so? What do you usually read? What
    kinds of reading strategies and techniques are useful to you? Which ones are not?

    Reading in English is important to me because I love to learn, to improve my


    knowlodge. I usually read websites in English and watch movies with english subtitles
    just to keep my brain working in this language, so I can Always learn a little bit more
    words and infos. I like to translate words that I don’t know, I like to find phrases and
    slangs used in dailly comunication. I think that it’s not necessary to know all words in
    english, when I don’t even know all words in portuguese, but its important know how to
    comunicate properly.
