    Metaphors are expressions that we use to compare two things that are not the
    same, but they have a quality that is the same.

    My father pigs

    kind fat angry


    gentle smelly dangerous
    hardworking noisy lazy

    Metaphors can make your writing more creative and interesting. They can give your
    writing more emotion.
    The example above - “He is a pig.” – lets us see a similarity we may not have
    noticed before. It makes our writing more fun and exciting.
