Sentences and Non Sentences

A sentence is made up of a group of words that expresses


a complete thought. It always begins with a capital
letter and ends with a punctuation mark.
Example:
I have a pet.
He is my friend.
What is your name?

A non - sentence is made up of word or words that does


not express a complete idea.
Example :
on the table
big ball
The given examples of non-sentences do not begin with a
capital letter, nor do they end with a punctuation mark. It
does not also express a complete thought.
