Compound Sentences—Upper Elementary

Remember, compound sentences are sentences that have two complete sentences joined
with a conjunction. They can be joined with coordinating conjunctions: and, but or, nor, for,
so, yet.
Example: Jan cannot come to the party, for she is sick!
