Narrative 9029 Pambangang Buwan at Araw ng Pagbaga Within the reference to Regional Memorandum No. 1272, s. 2022 dated November 04, 2022, the Department of Education Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) notifies the field concerning the nationwide celebration of the 2022 “Pambansang Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa” this November in order to encourage love for reading among learners and full awareness and understanding on the role of reading and literacy in educating critical thinking among our learners Poten and Eliseo M.Quesada MNHS enjoins learning activities and has conduct different suggested activities for the secondary students of the said school, likewise it promotes activities to capacitates teachers as reading teachers. In view of this there was a Kick-off opening program that started November 8,2022 after the flag ceremony , Monday at 6 a.m. at the schools covered court. As the said program started the school Principal Laurel N. Panaglima delivers his opening remarks to the students and teachers of PEMQMNHS with encouragement, for the students to love reading. As he said that learning does not only euleaies inside the classroom but it can also be gained te ze”After the sort of encouragement by the school principal , the orientation of the whole month activity was introduce by the Master Teacher in English ,Jhoanna M. Ropal and the Filipino Coordinator , Karen Arcos. There are different speech activities being propose during the said month celebration. Just like Poetry Reading , Readers Theatre, Declamation and Oration. Then the KATOTO Project Founder, Rowell Ybanez was being introduce and turn to be into the mystery reader of the day, as he tells a story to the students of Poten. Later there was an interaction between the students on the story that was being read. The preceeding weeks had turned to have different competition of each grade level. There was also a book cover competition among the high schools students wherein they are going to create and paint a picture on a big book as its cover. Each grade level has its assigned cover story book. Grade 7 had the Snow White, Grade 8 “The Little Mermaid” »Grade 9 Beauty and the Beast while the Grade 10 had the" Sleeping Beauty”. Then it was being judge and winners exist since the students works shows off their talent and creativity in painting. The closing program of the said festival ends with the competition of a speech choir by the STE-P sections among grade7 to gradel0. They had performed the Sonnet 116 by William Shakespeare . The whole celebration was totally a learning of fun as the students also learn to love reading. &% 2 % H
