A. Scope
(1) This Abbreviated Component Maintenance Manual (ACMM) contains the bench test instructions
for the double check tee. The double check tee is manufactured by Pacific Scientific Company,
HTL/Kin-Tech Division, Duarte, California.

B. Manual Description and Use
(1) Refer to the Table of Contents to find the necessary procedures or maintenance data. This
manual is written to ATA iSpec 2200 and AECMA Simplified English guidelines.
(a) Description and Operation gives the function, primary components, and technical
properties of the double check tee.
(b) Testing and Fault Isolation gives the function, primary components, and technical
properties for each double check tee.
1 The double check tee is not repairable and no field disassembly is possible.
1 Refer to Testing and Fault Isolation section for all testing procedures.

(i) Special Tools, Fixtures, Equipment, and Materials gives the recommended special tools,
fixtures, test equipment, and materials.
(j) Storage contains the procedures for proper storage of the double check tee.

and materials for these items (as applicable).
(3) All measured quantities in this manual are given in English units with metric equivalents
in parentheses ( ).

A. Purpose
(1) The double check tee connects two separate supply lines with one common distribution line.

(1) The double check tee consists of a body with two threaded inlet ports, one threaded outlet port,
and a ball check. See Figure 1 for P/N 35201007-1 and P/N 35201007-2, and Figure 2 for P/N

B. Examination of Product
(1) Inspect the double check tee according to Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3 and Table 1 in the
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION section, and the test sequences given in Table 1003.
(2) Examine identification to verify the part number, serial number, date, and directional arrows
are legible.
(3) Examine the surface for any external damage. Check to make sure the anodize is not broken.
Small breeches in the anodize can be corrected by using Alodine 1200, AMS2474.

C. External Leakage Test
(1) Screw the outlet plug (Table 1002) onto the outlet port of the double check tee. See Figure 1001.
(2) Connect the nitrogen cylinder (Table 1002) to one inlet port and the flowmeter (Table 1002)
to the opposite inlet port.
(a) Apply pressure slowly, increase pressure from 250 to 300 psig (1724 to 2069 kPag).
(a) Apply pressure slowly, increase pressure from 295 to 305 psig (2034 to 2103 kPag).
(7) Disconnect the flowmeter (Table 1002) and nitrogen cylinder (Table 1002).
(8) Repeat steps (2) through (6) for the opposite inlet end.
