musical play are combined with music and media to

Theatre/theater

• is a collaborative performance presented in an area with


live audiences. It is an art that is used to show actual
experiences as a form of dramatic representation as an
art or profession. It is proved to be so popular at the
beginning of the 5th century. There are Major and
Technical elements of theatre that affects each of its
performances.
Major Theatrical Elements
PERFORMER

• These are the people on stage that act and perform live in
front of the viewers.
• Entertain like actor, dancer, and singer that artistically
expresses their talent to audience.
AUDIENCE

• Audience is the most important group of individuals in


theatre.
• Audience sees innovation, style, historical period, level of
abstraction, social class, and given circumstance
DIRECTOR
• Supervises the overall creative production of the play.
• Enhances the performance of the actors and present the story of
a play in a persuasive way.
• Oversee all elements of the play to creatively organize the set,
costume, and design.
• Makes sure to put together a great team to pursue and support
their vision.
SPACE

• Space is an important element of a play since the stage itself


represents the space where the action or performance happened
or presented.
• A space where all the rehearsals happen and all the sets of the
scene taken.
• Conveys a certain tone for it represents the setting of the story
VISUAL ASPECTS AND MUSIC
• Music has a function of communicating the emotional aspects of
the story to convey the audience.
• Music affects the emotion and thoughts of the performers to
persuade the audience.
• Music has also a certain degree of emotions brought into the
inner workings of the performers and experienced them on a
deeper level
VISUAL ASPECTS AND MUSIC

• Visual aspects in theatre are considered to be impressive


since it includes the relationship of the actors during the
performance.
• Also involves the stage setting and design, lights, props
and costumes of the characters.
SCRIPT

• Script is a form of writing that consists of a dialogue that


the characters say to each other. It defines dialogue,
action, and scenes. The directors, together with the
performers will interpret all of these things from the
script to run the show.
TECHNICAL ELEMENTS OF
THEATER
SCENERY

• These are the equipment used to communicate


environment during the performance like curtains, flats,
backdrops, or platforms.
PROPS

• Any moveable objects that are used during a performance


and can also be taken in a short period of time. These
objects appear on stage as part of a dramatic production.
COSTUMES

• These are the clothing and accessories worn by the


performers/actors to portray their characters during the
play.
LIGHTS

• These are the color of lights that helps to convey the


mood and feelings of the actors and viewers due to the
placement and intensity of lights
SOUND

• It is what the audience hear during a performance to


communicate character, context, and environment. It is
associated with music. The word music comes from the
Greek word (mousike), which means "(art) of the
Muses".

• It is used to transform an actor into a character like
