Definitions of Terms

For better comprehension of this study the following terms will be

defined as follows:

Air Pollution. In this study it defined the contamination of air due

to the presence of substances in the atmosphere that are harmful to
the health of humans and other living beings, or cause damage to the
climate or to materials.

Availability. According to the quality or state of being available.

dictionary this is the quality or state of being available.

Efficiency. According to Wikipedia Efficiency is the often-measurable

ability to avoid wasting materials, energy, efforts, money, and time
in doing something or in producing a desired result.

Herculean Task. In this study this defined a job, task, or activity

that requires a huge amount of effort, energy, or physical strength.
Sometimes used ironically or hyperbolically.

Global Positioning System (GPS). According to goggle scholar The

Global Positioning System (GPS) is a U.S.-owned utility that provides
users with positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services. This
system consists of three segments: the space segment, the control
segment, and the user segment. In this study this will refer a space-
based radio-navigation system consisting of a constellation of
satellites broadcasting navigation signals and a network of ground

stations and satellite control stations used for monitoring and

control.

Metropolitan. According to Wikipedia is a region that consists of a

densely populated urban agglomeration and its surrounding territories
sharing industries, commercial areas, transport network,
infrastructures, and housing.

Origin Destination. In this study it refers to the data represents

movement through geographic space, from an origin (O) to a destination
(D). Sometimes also called 'flow data', OD datasets contain details of
trips between two geographic points or, more commonly, zones (which
are often represented by a zone centroid).

Peak Hours. In Collins dictionary this define the busiest hours, as

during traffic, etc., rush hour.

Traffic Density. In this paper it talks about the amount of traffic

per unit of road length (e.g., cars per day per kilometer) and can be
useful for comparing of the level of traffic between two or more
areas.

Traffic Congestion. In Wikipedia is a condition in transport that is

characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased
vehicular queueing.

Traffic Flow. In this study this refer study of the movement of

individual drivers and vehicles between two points and the
interactions they make with one another. Also called traffic streams.
While in Wikipedia traffic flow is the study of interactions between
travelers and infrastructure, with the aim of understanding and

developing an optimal transport network with efficient movement of

traffic and minimal traffic congestion problems.

Vehicular Ad Hoc Network Technology. According to google scholar

Vehicular ad hoc networks are created by applying the principles of
mobile ad hoc networks – the spontaneous creation of a wireless
network of mobile devices – to the domain of vehicles. A Vehicular Ad-
hoc Network (VANET) comprises a group of moving or stationary vehicles
connected by a wireless network. VANETs play a vital role in providing
safety and comfort to drivers in vehicular environments. They provide
smart traffic control and real-time information, event allocation.
