Hello everyone, my name is Anastasia. I think language is like a cake, because it looks beautiful and
contains a lot of ingredients, that are necessary to be in a cake. All these ingredients should correlate to
each other like in a language, there is speaking, writing, listening and reading.

If to speak about metaphor with a language like a cake, I believe it is because a teacher can be
considered as a chef, working in a restaurant. This chef prepares ingredients, cook them in an
appropriate way for his guests, they would like it. So, the teacher need to prepare materials, plans,
instructions for students, that are suitable exactly for them. He has to organize everything for students
and take care of the way to do it great, to see progress.

I’m taking this course, because I work as an English teacher, but I feel lack of confidence and need to
learn some new methods, activities and techniques. I face a lot of challenges on my way to teaching,
because I need to know how to work with children of different ages.
