EUCHARISTICA CELEBRATIO
INTROITUS
When the people are gathered, the Priest approaches the altar with the ministers
while the Entrance Chant is sung.
When he has arrived at the altar, after making a profound bow with the
ministers, the Priest venerates the altar with a kiss. Then, with the ministers, he
goes to the chair.
When the Entrance Chant is concluded, the Priest and the faithful, standing, sign
themselves with the Sign of the Cross, while the Priest, facing the people, says:
Dominus vobiscum.
R. Et cum spiritu tuo.
ACTUS PENITENTIALIS
Then follows the Penitential Act, to which the Priest invites the faithful, saying:
Oremus.

When the Altar and the gifts have been prepared, the presider takes the paten with the
bread and holding it slightly raised above the altar says:
The celebrant or concelebrant pours wine and a little water into the chalice saying
inaudibly:
Next the presider stands at the side of the altar and washes his hands saying inaudibly:
The presider:
Orare, fratres: ut meum ac vestrum sacrificium accepetabile
fiat apud Deum Patrem omnipotentem.

Meanwhile, the presider takes the host and breaks it over the paten. He places a
small piece in the chalice, saying inaudibly:
COMMUNION
The presider genuflects. Taking the host, he raises it slightly over the paten and,
facing the people, says aloud:
He reverently consumes the body of Christ. Then he takes the chalice and says

After this he takes the paten or other vessel and goes to the communicants. He
takes a host for each one, raises it a little, and shows it, saying:
Corpus Christi.

While the faithful receive Holy Communion, Eucharistic Hymns are sung.
Then all stand for the prayer after communion.

RITUS CONCLUSIONIS
Then the dismissal takes place. The Priest, facing the people and extending his
