CHAPTER 4

Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Data

This chapter presents the analyzed results of the study that were

tabulated, interpreted and discussed accordingly in answer to the specific

problems of the study.

Profile of the Respondents

The profile of the respondents was determined in terms of age, sex, civil

status, educational attainment, number of years in teaching and number of

relevant TLE training attended. These are presented in Tables #1, #2, #3, #4, #5,

and #6.

Age. As reflected in the table, most of the respondents were 15 years old

accounting for 12 respondents or 40% percent. It is followed by 16 years old

accounting for 11 respondents or 34% percent. Then, ages 17- and 35-years old

percent. Lastly, ages 30,45- and 50-years old accounting for 3 respondents or

12% percent.

As shown in the table, most of the respondents were teenagers aging 15

and 16 years old which is expected to be the right age given their current level.

Students enrolled in Grade 10 are usually 15–16 years old. This is where they

prepare to enter Senior High School. (Wikipedia, 2023)

Sex. As reflected in the table, most of the respondents were female

accounting for 21 or 70% percent. While the male counterpart account for 9 or

30% percent.

As shown in the table, most of the respondents were female which is quite

common in educational institution where it is female dominated. It is expected as

well since Calbayog City has a higher female population compared to that of their

counterpart (Philippine Statistics Authority, 2013).

As shown in the table, most of the respondents were single which is quite

common in Calbayog City where most population find it expensive. It is expected

as well since Calbayog City has 44.6% residents were never married while

42.2% were married. (National Statistic Office, 2010)

Educational attainment. As reflected in the table, most of the

respondents were unit master level accounting for 2 or 50% percent. It is

followed by both College/Bachelor's Degree and Master Degree level

respondents accounting for 2 or 50% percent. Lastly, doctoral unit and doctoral

graduate accounting for 0 or 0% percent.

were Master on their unit. (NSO, 2000)

Perceived factors in integrating local indigenous cuisine in TLE classes

Table 7 appraises the perception toward the use of social media platforms

among student-respondents. There were 5 <physiological need statements> or

<indicators> considered in this study whereby the respondents signified their

agreement or disagreement on the area.
