1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study

Kids enjoy making a mess, but what about cleaning? Most of

the time, and far too often, it is the parents who are responsible for
cleaning up after their children. According to a ClosetMaid survey, the
average parent must pick up after their child 28 times per week, and
half of parents do their children's chores to make sure they are
completed correctly.

When a youngster is fully capable of doing it themselves, cleaning up

after them presents a number of challenges. One is that it adds to
your workload. Two, it conveys the idea that they can't clean up their
own mess and/or shouldn't bother since someone else will do it for
them in a very literal sense. (N. Spector, 2020)

For kids who don't study best with pen and paper, educational
games are a terrific option.
A growing amount of research demonstrates that game-based
learning platforms "may generate a compelling dynamic that drives
students to acquire competencies and abilities while they focus on
the activities of the game," according to educational foundation

Regardless of the subject, educational games for kids may assist you
in giving your own youngster a passion for learning even the most
basic things they has to learn. (J. Nisbet,2020)

Soaper Parkour is a 3-Dimensional, 2nd Person Parkour inspired by

the game TOY STORY, FRIDAY THE 13TH and DEAD BY
DAYLIGHT wherein there are certain obstacle and quest to be
accomplished under time pressure, this game is E10+ because of its
cartoonish graphics and gameplay.

1.2 Statement of Objectives

1.2.1 General Objectives

To create an educational mobile game that can be played
by children 10 years old and above that will help the parents
and guardians to teach their kids the essence of cleaning.

1.2.2 Specific Objectives

To encourage good cleaning practices in a fun and
creative manner, to develop and improve their strategic thinking
through frantic mobile games that includes time-limited tasks
and obstacle courses and must be able to work within the time
restrictions for cleaning.

1.3 Significance of the Study

This game will provide children an exciting and fun experience

while learning about proper cleaning. This will be beneficial to
parents who needs assistance in teaching cleanliness to their
child. Moreover, This will also be helpful to advocate early
discussion of imparting children to be disciplined on after
themselves.

1.4 Scopes and Limitations

The game will revolve around quest completion about
personal hygiene and house sanitation in a 3-level gameplay
with 3-8 quests (depends on level).
Under time pressure of 3-5 mins per level, creative and
strategic thinking of a person may take place. Players would be
given timed checklists of cleaning quests.
Saving and loading of levels' data may not be accessible for the
game is only playable offline.

4
2.0 Data Gathering Procedures and Output

A survey questionnaire constructed in Google forms containing

checklists and multiple choices was answered by a client who is a single
mother of two (2) children ages 10 and 12 years old. The researchers
explained to the client the importance of their response to the study.
The researcher also clarifies some terms to the client to be able to
answer the questionnaire with full knowledge and understanding.
Based on the client's responses, she agreed that it is important for
the children to learn basic cleaning skills at their young age to teach
them cleanliness and discipline at the same time. The client also chose
educational mobile games as a helpful material to get the children's full
attention to learn in a fun way. Overall, the datas were aligned to the
significance of the study.

Toy Story 3: The video game

3.1 Company Background

Avalanche Software is an American video game developer based

in Salt Lake City, Utah and a subsidiary of Warner Bros.
Interactive Entertainment. It was founded in October 1995 by four
programmers formerly of Sculptured Software, including John
Blackburn, who serves as chief executive officer.

3.2 Description of the System

Toy Story 3 is a 2010 platform game developed by Avalanche

Software and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It is loosely
based on the film of the same name. It was released for
PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Windows, and Mac OS X.

5
The player controls main character Woody through 18 unique
levels (17 in SNES and Windows version, and 10 in the Game
Boy). One of the gameplays involves Woody traveling through the
vents of a claw machine rescuing Squeeze Toy Aliens, ultimately
before time runs out.

3.3 Problem Areas

Upon researching about the game reviews, these are the problems
that they encountered.

The plot was already expected as it was a game adaptation from

the movie itself. The levels were not that different from each other
but just characters. There are bugs that crashes the game or
lowering it's FPS.

As for the researchers, they would like to have a version of this

game with a concept of cleaning and is playable on android mobile
phones.

4.0 The Proposed System

4.1 System Overview

The game story goes as Bob went to the convenience store to get
groceries, and when he got home, he ate and left chips on the floor,
dishes on the sink, and the house dirty. Bree was brought to life one
sunny afternoon and given the task of cleaning while the owner is
away. The player will be playing under time pressure of cleaning
parkour before Bob comes home.

programmer, game designer, graphic designer and
documentations.

6.2 Implementation Plan

6.2.1 Site Preparation

The game will be participating in a system exhibit at University of

Caloocan City. As a preparation, the researchers and developers will
polish their documentation and finalize the game.

6.2.2 Personnel training

13
The researchers and developers will conduct a beta testing before
the implementation to see further debugging and revisions.

6.2.3 Implementation Schedule
