Memorable Music Flashcards

NoteNamers are flashcards designed to help piano students easily memorize both note names and
each note’s specific place on the piano using humorous/memorable associations with animals and
other common nouns. This free sample of NoteNamers contains six (6) double-sided flashcards
teaching five (5) piano notes near Middle C: A3 through E4.
The idea for NoteNamers began after watching the TEDx Talk titled “How to Become a Memory
Master”. In this video, Idriz Zogaj demonstrated how using a “fun, vivid, and animated story” helps
our brain make a strong connection, and thus a lasting memory. NoteNamers was developed to
empower my piano students who struggle with note memorization and note placement on the piano.
