Hertz Standard Warranty Periods

Model / Series Standard Warranty Period

• All Oil Injected Screw Type Series

• All Piston Type Series (3 kW and up) 12 months from the commissioning
date or 15 months from the invoice date
(whichever happens earlier) and not
• All Portable Series limited with the working hours

• All dryers and downstream


equipment

• Spare parts 6 months after the invoice date


What is covered in Standard Warranty period?

✓ Standard warranty covers complete machine including its all components


against to manufacturing and quality faults.

❖ Labor cost: the warranty only covers the replacement of parts for
problems caused by manufacturing and quality problems. Hertz is not
responsible for the labor costs during the warranty period.

❖ Shipping: parts confirmed to be change under warranty will be


delivered with ex-works Istanbul condition.

Warranty Conditions

Both Standard and Smart Warranty is free of charge to the compressor owner, however
there are certain obligations in order to keep the compressor in Warranty program.

Warranty Conditions

➢ Commissioning by Authorized Service Supplier: Compressors must be started-up


only by authorized service technicians. Installation must be checked and confirmed
by commissioning technician

➢ Commissioning form: A fully filled and signed commissioning form and installation
photos should be submitted to Hertz Warranty Department within 15 days after the
start-up

➢ Daily/weekly checks: Compressor owner is responsible for all daily/weekly checks


which is given in user manual / service schedule

➢ Genuine Parts: Only Hertz genuine parts and lubricants should be used for periodical
maintenances and repairs

➢ Periodical Maintenances On Time: All periodical maintenances must be performed


by authorized service suppliers on time according to the maintenance tables in user
manuals

Re-validation For Unsold Compressors

Re-validation of warranty: If the commissioning period of the machine is longer than 6


months from the manufacturing date of the machine, a preventive maintenance should
be performed

Maintenance Table for Screw Type
Daily:

✓ Check the oil level of the compressor.


Check the oil level when the compressor is in stop mode. If the oil is low, top up it
✓ In the course of operation, check the warning signs and operating values on the
control panel
✓ Discharge the water accumulated in the tank by opening the valve under the air
tank slowly

Weekly:

❑ Clean the compressor panel filters and air filters by pressurized air
❑ Discharge the water accumulated in the air tank
❑ Use pressurized air to clean the radiator slices
❑ Check the oil level
❑ Check the compressor internal parts and components for oil leaks or damages

The frequency of periodical maintenances depend on the environmental conditions


like as ambient temperature, dust level etc.
High ambient temperatures and dusty conditions will cause more frequent
maintenance intervals. Consumables which are subject to frequent replacement will
not be considered as a warranty case

We can set following maintenance timers on the PLC controllers:

MAJOR COMPONENTS SHOULD NOT BE OPENED FOR INSPECTION WITHOUT PRIOR


CONFIRMATION OF HERTZ WARRANTY DEPARTMENT.
MAJOR COMPONENTS ARE; AIREND, MAIN MOTOR, FAN MOTOR, INVERTER, CONTROLLER,
SOFT STARTER
HERTZ MAY ASK RETURN OF FAILED PARTS BACK FOR FURTHER INSPECTION

IF THERE IS AN URGENCY ABOUT REPLACING THE FAILED PARTS; A PURCHASE ORDER


SHOULD BE PLACED AND SUPPLY THE PARTS TO BE REPLACED.
HERTZ WILL APPLY A CREDIT NOTE IF WARRANTY WILL BE CONFIRMED
