FAVE Lab is a vertebrate paleontology lab that researches the evolution of the vertebrate skeleton and
biomechanics. The internship research goal was to explore the potential for neonatal (birth) lines to be found in
mammalian teeth beyond primate groups.

▪ Studied modern mammal teeth slices using light microscopy and photographed potential neonatal lines
▪ Practiced college-level academic writing and primary literature review
▪ Built skills in photogrammetry and fossil preparation with dental tools
