Title: Ricardo Palma
Introduction:
Ricardo Palma, Ricardo Palma, who is known "Patriarch of Peruvian
Letters" or also relevant: "The beggar librarian". He was a 19th-century
Peruvian novelist, poet, politician, and publisher considered one of the
most representative figures of American letters. He considered one of the
most important Peruvian writers, romantic, costumbrist and traditionalist
famous mainly for his historical fiction short stories, his works have won
numerous awards. He cultivated practically all genres: poetry, novel,
drama, satire, criticism, Chronicle and essay in Peru.

Personal data:
He has Peruvian nationality, was born in Lima on February 7,
1833.
He married Mrs. Cristina Román Olivier (1876).
He has 8 children.
Two of them were also writers: Clemente and Angelica.

History life:
He created the Peruvian Academy of Language, worked tirelessly for the
Spanish language of Peru, reconstructed the devastated Library, and
researched and published fundamental books on Peruvian culture. He was a
member of the Royal Spanish Academy, of the Royal Academy of History
as well as an honorary member of the Hispanic Society of New York.
