Subtract Language and social barriers that impede the integration of newly immigrated
students into the local Brantford community (as well as their transition to Canada).
Combine: Create a welcome program that combines different elements to help newcomers feel
welcomed in Canada.
Adapt: To the immigrant's foreign culture and interest, allowing for both parties to gain a more
insightful understanding of each other.
Modify: Modify our views on foreigners, instead of seeing it as if we're doing them a favour by giving
them better opportunities, but rather they are also giving our community more culture.
Put to other uses: Existing community volunteers and platforms to further support the transition of
students into their new country.
Eliminate: Eliminate Challenges to accessing programs and events that are faced by newcomers.
