Actual Findings:

Table 19 indicates how the residents of Purok 4 Brgy. Salasad manage their wastes/garbage. The
table shows that 82 (96%) of households have a garbage collector almost everything in the table is 1% (1)
these are the burning, composting, waste segregation and throwing of garbage. It is shown in the table
that no households practices recycling, pit with cover and pit without cover.

Normal Findings:

The first priority is to avoid producing waste-to-energy should only be considered after waste
reduction and recycling waste by reducing consumption and packaging. The next best option is to
recycle; composting organic waste comes next. This is followed by combusting the post-recycled waste
for energy and then finally, landfilling. (Renee Cho, Oct. 2016)
